San Francisco: Elon Musk, notorious for his tweets and his omnipresence on social media, has led people to speculate with his latest tweet in which the Tesla and SpaceX CEO asked his followers whether or not TikTok was destroying the civilization.

Expanding the context of his question, Elon Musk added whether this was the case with all social media platforms in general.

Musk, the world’s richest man, earlier did the same kind of experiment before he submitted his $44 billion bid to buy Twitter.

Vocal for free speech, Elon Musk conducted a poll on his official Twitter handle in which he asked his followers to comment on whether Twitter adhered to the principle of free speech or not. He mentioned that the results of the poll would be important and therefore asked everyone to vote carefully.
The results shook everyone as more than 70 per cent of people voted against Twitter following the idea of free speech.
After that, Elon Musk formally submitted his bid of $44 billion to turn Twitter into a private company.
However, the process has not yet been completed as the acquisition process is in its final stage, but his recent tweet about TikTok led many to speculate about a possible takeover.
