Egypt is currently pursuing the strengthening of bilateral relations with Pakistan as one of its foreign policy goals and both the countries are determined to work closely on reinforcing the bilateral relations as well as diversifying and expanding the aspects of cooperation to benefit from their huge potentials.
Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, MrIhab Abdelhamid said this on Tuesday while addressing a reception that marked the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt held at Serena Hotel.

Among the noted guests who attended the 72nd Anniversary of the 1952 Revolution of Egypt included Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Raja ZafarulHaq, PPP Senator Sehar Kamran, Custodian of the Eidgah Sharif, PirNaqeeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik, Dean of the African countries, Ambassador of Morocco Mohamed Karmoune, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, AllamaTahirMahmoodAshrafi, ambassadors, diplomats, members of civil society and academia and a large number of the Egyptian nationals.
A documentary ‘Egypt: Land of Civilization’ was also screened on the occasion showing fusion of the ancient and the modern and evolution of Egypt from Pharaoh’s state to a modern republic.
