ISLAMABAD- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced an extension for voter registration, transfer, and data correction, allowing citizens more time to exercise their voting rights.

The decision was made during a meeting led by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in Islamabad today, with the aim of facilitating the general public.

Initially, the ECP had set October 25 as the deadline for voter registration, transfers, and the correction of data in the electoral rolls. However, recognizing the importance of broad public participation in the electoral process, the commission has extended the deadline to Saturday, providing an additional opportunity for eligible citizens to register or update their voter information.

The ECP has urged the public to make the most of this extended period, emphasizing the significance of voter engagement in shaping the nation’s democratic future.

To streamline the process, Form 21 is now readily available on the Election Commission’s official website, www.ecp.gov.pk. This form can be effortlessly downloaded for voter registration and transfers. Once filled out, it must be submitted to the respective District Election Commission office for processing.

All Pakistani citizens aged eighteen years and above, including women, youth, minority communities, persons with disabilities, the transgender community, and all marginalized sections of society, are encouraged to participate in the electoral process. By sending their identity card number to 8300, citizens can easily check the information related to their voter registration and status.
