EC reviews arrangements for May 20 by-polls

The Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, Aijaz Anwar Chohan chaired meeting in Darbar Hall Badin here on the other day.

The Sindh Election Commissioner reviewed the arrangements for by-election at PS 70 to be held on 20th of May 2021. While addressing.

Aijaz Anwar said implementation of code of conduct was essential as prescribed by Election Commission.

Mr Aijaz Anwar Chohan said one hundred sixty six thousand eight hundred and nine votes were registered in the constituency of PS 70 and for such 121 polling stations were established while 40 polling stations were declared sensitive where CCTV cameras to be installed.

While apprising District Returning officer Ali Asghar Siyal said 11 candidates have submitted their nomination forms to contest PS 70 election and scrutiny process was also accomplished.

On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Badin, Agha Shahnawaz Khan directed concerned departments each and every polling station must be provided essential facilities including electricity, pure drinking water, wash rooms, compound walls and other needed facilities.

While addressing SSP Badin, Shabbir Ahmed Sethar said the security to be provided during the whole process of election.
