E-Stamping System fetches Rs400 billion in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

LAHORE – The e-Stamping System, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with the Board of Revenue (BoR), has collected more than Rs400 billion in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This was informed at a meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf. The participants of the meeting were apprised that to date, more than 28.4 million challans have been paid by the citizens. As many as 19.3 million stamp papers have been issued so far with more than Rs371.2 billion collected from Punjab, more than Rs27.1 billion from Sindh and more than Rs1.75 billion from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Faisal Yousaf remarked that the e-Stamping System has completely replaced the traditional system by digitizing the issuance of stamp papers, leading to an increase in revenue and transparency while eliminating fraud, financial theft and forgery.
