KARACHI – Netizens are slamming renowned televangelist and lawmaker of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain on social media after he touched a female guest during his Ramadan show on a private news channel.
Dr Aamir invited athlete Naseem Hameed, who is considered the “fastest woman” in South Asia, to his programme when he held a sprint race with the guest.
The PTI leader shared photos of the running on his official Facebook handle with one of them shows Dr Aamir Liaquat touching the left shoulder of the Pakistani sprinter.
The act caused anger among some social media users of Pakistan where touching non-mahram persons is considered against the societal norms.

Naseem Hameed is considered as “the fastest woman” in South Asia. She won the gold medal for Pakistan in 2010 by winning the 100 meters race in South Asian Games, Dhaka. She was born in 1988, Karachi. According to her, her biggest achievement is Naseem Hameed Sports Academy.
