Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Cooperative Department & Anti-Corruption Jam Ikramullah Dharejo in his response to the news of dismissal of employees of Pakistan Steel Mills, has said that closure of Pakistan Steel Mills would mean economic murder of thousands of families and the federal government needs to reconsider this cruel decision.
In a statement, issued here on Thursday, he said that at a time when the whole world had been going through the same ordeal of Corona virus and Pakistan was also suffering from the same conditions, at a time when there was a need to provide relief to working families, the federal government was causing mental anguish and financial torment to working class. Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo added, ‘ Pakistan Steel Mills is a national asset. Such an institution needs to be activated instead of shutting down. Its activation may generate maximum employment opportunities.
