Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar said that the Defence Day is a landmark in the history of the country when our courageous and brave soldiers deterred the nefarious deigns of the enemy telling the world that we are always ready to defend our beloved country and we can sacrifice anything for it.
In his message on Defence Day, he said that 6th September not only marks a day of the sacrifices of Pakistan Army for their motherland, but it also tells us that the courageous soldiers of our army wrote the history of courage and valour with their blood.
Whether it is Lahore’s border or Sialkot’s working-boundary, it is Khem Karan or Chawinda, Pakistan Army’s fearless and brave soldiers countered the enemy so boldly that their sacrifices are written in golden words in the history, he said.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that this is a day to remember the great sacrifices of those brave sons of the soil.
He said: Today our nation is paying gratitude to the Almighty Allah by celebrating the Defence Day on one hand, and paying tribute to remarkable sacrifices of Pakistan Army on the other.
Every nation pays tribute to its brave and valiant sons so that the coming generations could know about their sacrifices and a passion.
and audacity to sacrificing for their country could be inculcated in them, he added.
He said that we should remember this fact and pass it on to our coming generations that Pakistan is not only a piece of land situated on a particular geographical position, but it is a great blessing of the Almighty Allah and we have the obligation to protect it.
