City police ‘avenge’ constable’s murder

The City Police on Sunday killed a dacoit in a shootout who was allegedly involved in the murder of police constable Muhammad Ramzan in the remit of Data Darbar Police Station.
However, two of the slain dacoit’s accomplices managed to flee the scene.

The dead was identified as Abdul Hameed aka Bela, who was wanted in the killing of the police constable.

The accused was also wanted by the Factory Area Police. Police have shifted the body to a morgue.

Earlier two jawans of Lahore Police were gunned down in crossfire while trying to nab dacoits in the Manga Mandi bypass area a couple of few days ago. Constable Adil Shah and Constable Ibad Dogar embraced martyrdom in the shootout.
