DC directs officials to solve medicines shortage issue

Taking notice of complaints regarding non-availability of medicines from District Headquarter Hospital Hafizabad, Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad has warned the doctors of DHQ Hospital that strict action will be taken against those who involved in compelling patients to purchase medicines from bazar despite existence of sufficient medicines at DHQ Hospital.

She issued this warning during a surprise visit of the DHQ Hospital. She also expressed her resentment over use of dirty bed sheets and non-functional of Air conditioners in the hospital.

She admonished the Medical Superintendent Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Shahid and directed his to ensure provision of medicines to patients from the stock of the DHQ and to make functional ACs of children and nursery wards on priority basis beside provision of neat and clean bed sheets on daily basis.

She visited general ward, general emergency, nursery, children emergency, dental ward to review treatment facilities being provided to patients in the hospital whereas she took feedback.
