A Dolphin Force officer was injured in a shootout with suspected criminals which also left a dacoit dead and another with critical injuries near Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore on Wednesday.
According to police, the dacoits riding a motorbike were busy looting citizens near the hospital when the Dolphin Force reached the spot.
As a result, they opened fire on the Dolphin Force, leaving an officer critically injured who received two bullets in the chest.
Furthermore, a hotel employee was also injured in firing between the police and the dacoits.
Further investigation into the incident was underway.
