Customs authorities seize cell phone at AIIAP

Customs officials in a major operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport seized mobile phones worth millions of rupees, DC Customs, Saqib Waraich said, adding that the passenger had concealed iPhones pasting with his body.
According to details, customs officials conducted a major operation at Lahore Airport and recovered a mobile phone worth lakhs of rupees from the passenger.
On suspicious look Customs officials the passenger and during body search iPhones were recovered attached with his body.
Mr. Warraich said that Mirza Irfan Baig, a resident of Jhelum, had a British and Pakistani passport, which he was using in smuggling.
According to DC Customs, 39 expensive iPhones are said to cost more than Rs 7 million, while 20 expensive modern iPhone 18s are among the mobile phones exported. Samsung Galaxy Note 10/11 included.
Saqib Warraich said that a valuable Motorola phone base hands free plus charger, base empty box mobile phone were also recovered, a case will also be registered against the passenger under the Smuggling Act.
