People from all walks of life are beyond saddened to learn of the shocking death of Bilal Pasha, a noted CSS officer from Pakistan, who ended his life.
His self-inflicted death sent ripples of sorrow through the civil service fraternity, and he was reportedly suffering from mental stress for some time.
The area residents told media that they found the body of Bilal Pasha covered in blood inside his residence as he shot himself in the head.
The body of the former Cantonment Board chief was sent to his hometown after the funeral prayers. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to find out whether the official committed suicide or had been killed by someone.
The shocking death of a noted CSS officer triggered tributes and condemnation across social media, while it also renewed call for awareness about mental health.

Bilal Pasha, a bureaucrat and digital creator, hailed from a village in Punjab. He got his primary education in Madrassa-established school and later graduated in Agriculture from the University of Faisalabad.
The deceased secured 47th rank in the CSS examination, and was known for being a beacon of hope, for cracking the toughest exam with basic resources.
It has been learned that Bilal got Punjab Educational Endowment Fund scholarship and earned an MPhil degree, underlining his commitment to education.
