Commissioner Multan Division Dr Irshad Ahmed on Thursday formed five-member anti-begging team to launch special crackdown against beggars across the region.
According to a press release issued here, the commissioner said that number of beggars were increasing day by day in all districts of the region.
He said that the beggars were turned into a mafia which covered all roads and markets of the region.
He said that the provincial government has directed to launch a special crackdown against beggars.—APP
