A Christian couple was gunned down by the family of the girl over contracting love marriage some three years ago. The police said that the incident occurred in Kadlathi More areae.
According to police sores, the in-laws called the couple identified as Rabbaz Masih and his wife to visit their home to meet them three years after their marriage.
Upon arrival, they shot them dead in the fields. The killers fled the scene after leaving two minor baby girls – five-month-old and two-year-old weeping near the dead bodies.
The police said that the deceased couple had contracted love marriage some three years ago. The police have shifted the dead bodies to hospital for postmortem, arrested some suspects and started investigations.
