Terrorists ambush on a Police post in the outskirts of the provincial metropolis in the wee hours on Sunday left a policeman martyred.
Reports reaching here said unknown terrorists launched an attack on Arando Khuwarr Check Post on the night between Saturday and Sunday and martyred a cop believably with the sniper gun. Before the security forces could respond to the assault, the terrorists, the attackers fled from the scene after committing the crime taking advantage of the dark. The deceased cop was identified as Constable Saeed Ullah
The security forces kicked off an operation in the area to nab those responsible for the killing of Policeman, yet they remained at large. The funeral prayers of the martyred cop were offered at Police lines Peshawar as CCPO Peshawar and other senior Police officers attended the last rituals.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amin Ullah Kundi has condemned the killing of a policeman in terrorist’s attack in strong words and sympathized with the bereaved family members adding such incidents could not weaken the resolve of the Police Force in fight against terror.
Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has also condemned the shooting incident at the police check-post in the Arando Khuwarr area of Peshawar. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to Constable Saeed, who was martyred in the attack.
He said that Constable Saeed attained the highest rank of martyrdom by sacrificing his life while performing his duty. The interior minister saluted the sacrifice of Constable Saeed, who laid down his life for the country. He emphasized that the sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police in the fight against terrorism will always be remembered.
