Muzaffarabad
The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat (PeH), Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has expressed serious concern over the worst kind of human rights violations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad on Sunday said that the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir should realize its constitutional responsibilities and take decisive steps for the liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir through effective and concrete planning.
Talking about Indian atrocities in IIOJK, he said, India is committing the worst human rights violations to crush the resistance movement in the territory.
He said that since 5th August, 2019, massive human rights violations besides lockdown and military siege had been observed in the occupied territory.
He stated that the Indian government illegally removed the special status of the territory, issued domiciles to Indian citizens and spread terror through inhuman laws and military in IIOJK.
“The war has been imposed on unarmed civilians in the territory where people are being brutally tortured and martyred who resist for freedom”, he lamented.
Uzair Ahmad Ghazali said that thousands of Kashmiri citizens and Hurriyat leaders had been detained and many of them were still in Indian jails
The Indian government is now openly pursuing its nefarious conspiracies to remove Islamic ideology from Muslim majority territory and is trying to impose Hinduism, he deplored.
He reiterated that all political parties and the leadership of AJK should come forward and formulate a coordinated policy to increase pressure on the Indian government through effective public protests.
He appealed to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to join the legitimate resistance movement against Indian state terrorism and military crimes.—INP
