Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the arrangements for the main Ashura procession. The meeting saw participation from Deputy Commissioners, senior officers of the Police and Rangers, and representatives from various civic agencies. Religious scholars, including UlmaKaram and procession organizers, also attended to provide suggestions and highlight civic issues needing resolution. General Secretary of the Jaferia Alliance, Syed ShabbarRaza Rizvi, was among the attendees.

The meeting concluded with a decision to ensure foolproof security during Ashura. Civic authorities were directed to maintain cleanliness along the procession routes, install street lights, and resolve sewage issues at Imam Bargahs and majalis venues. Commissioner Naqvi emphasized that all officials must perform their duties with the highest respect and dedication. Special traffic management arrangements, including alternative routes and diversions, were discussed to ensure smooth traffic flow during the procession.

The Water and Sewerage Corporation will provide drinking water for mourners, while the Solid Waste Management Board will handle cleanliness. Other attendees included Additional Commissioner Karachi I Syed Ghulam Mehdi, Assistant Commissioner HQ Rabia Syed, and officials from the Municipal Corporation, Town Municipal Administration, Cantonment Board, Solid Waste Management Board, and Water and Sewerage Corporation.

It was decided that K-Electric would avoid load shedding along procession routes and during majalis timings.
