LAHORE – The cold and dry weather is likely to persist across the country this week, predicted Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) on Monday.
The PMD also predicted very cold conditions in the hilly areas.
Frost is likely in isolated locations in the upper parts of the country during the morning hours.
The moderate to dense fog is expected to persist in many plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper and central Sindh during the morning and night on Monday (today).
However, on Tuesday (tomorrow), moderate to dense fog is likely in patches across Punjab, upper Sindh and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the morning and night hours.
On Wednesday, cold and cloudy conditions are to be accompanied by the light rain or snow in isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan.
Shallow fog is likely in plain areas of Punjab and Sindh during the morning and night hours.
Rain and snow are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat and northwest/western Balochistan on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The cloudy weather with isolated rain is likely in the Islamabad and Potohar regions while cold and dry weather would prevail in other areas.
