The Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir Tuesday reiterated unflinching resolve of the Pakistan Army to fight against terrorism till elimination of the menace from the region.
The Army Chief who visited forward posts at Pak-Afghan border in South Waziristan was interacting with the troops performing their duties in the hard terrain.
The COAS highly appreciated the counter terrorists efforts of the formation and provision of environment for the completion of socio-economic development projects, vital for enduring stability and sustainable progress of the merged districts.
General Asim Munir declared that the Army would continue fighting against the subversive elements till the complete elimination of the terrorism from the region.
He vowed that the sacrifices of Shuhada of Pakistan would not go in vain and expressed confidence that complete peace would return to Pakistan. The Army Chief highlighted the importance of the synergy between various state institutions and in particular the importance of the people of Pakistan towards the collective fight against terrorism.
The COAS, according to ISPR also laid floral wreath at Yadgaar-e-Shuhada in Wana and visited Formation Headquarters where he was briefed about the operational, training and security matters of the formation as well as progress on development works being undertaken in the merged districts.
