An accountability court in Lahore on Wednesday approved bail of a co-accused in the money laundering case against PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif. Unveiling the reserved decision, AC judge Naseem Ahmad Virk ordered Ali Ahmad Khan to submit Rs10 million surety bonds.
The co-accused had filed the post-arrest bail application through his counsel, labelling the NAB money laundering reference is based on ill-intention. He argued that the NAB officers had resorted to an unfair investigation of the case.—INP
