As the Corona continues to play havoc in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the tally of those tested positive crossing 9000 figure and about 450 succumbed to the deadly virus, the Chief Minister KP Mahmood has appealed to the public to realize the sensitivity of the issue and be utmost careful in their day to day matters and social behaviour. He has warned that even a slight negligence in this regard can lead to a great and irreparable loss.
Mahmood Khan has called upon the people to strictly observe the precautionary measures for themselves as well as for others.
Mahmood Khan apprehended that as in other parts of the country, fresh cases of COVID-19 are increasing day by day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He and has urged the public to strictly follow precautionary measures in order to make themselves and other safe from the virus.
He has advised the citizens to restrict themselves to their houses, avoid crowding in markets and other public places and to strictly follow the principles of social distancing. The chief minister has termed the precautionary measures and social distancing as an effective way to be safe from the corona pandemic, and said that by strictly following the precautionary measures and government’s instructions, the citizens can protect themselves and others from the disease.
He has expressed the hope that people of the province will extend full cooperation to the administration in this regard.
In the meanwhile Advisor to Chief Minister K.P on Information and Public Relations Ajmal Khan Wazir has said that 81824 passengers have arrived at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar on 478 regular flights which were regularly screened.
The advisor stated that a total of 4675 passengers arrived on 23 special flights between April 15 to May 28. On special flights, 727 people tested positive for Corona virus out of which 246 people were from other provinces while 481 people were Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents. Immigrants from Dubai, Malaysia and other countries continue to arrive.
Briefing media at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar on Friday Ajmal Wazir expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made at the airport and appreciated the efforts of the administration.
