Govt committed to launch crackdown on those spreading hateful content
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the Karachi Police to take strict action against the violent elements, who were creating law and order situation in the metropolis.
He said that rumours were circulating in the city that roads would be blocked.
He directed the Police that roads should not be blocked and severe action be taken against the violent elements. Syed Murad Ali Shah said that government and private properties should be protected. He said that the provincial government had talked to all the people concerned on the issue. He said all the stakeholders had announced that they did not support such violent elements.
The Chief Minister directed the Police to ensure the routine life of city at all costs. Meanwhile the Sindh government on Friday decided to immediately arrest those who published hateful content on social media, and arrested 48 people involved in the Sohrab Goth incident. Meanwhile Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, while addressing a press conference along with Saeed Ghani said that a tragic incident took place in Hyderabad, a few days back, adding that Bilal Kaka had died after being hit by a rod in a fight while the police have registered the FIR against the suspects.
He said that two people have been nabbed, while four escaped the scene, adding that 28 people were arrested and the FIR was registered against them. Sharjeel urged the masses and political parties to be aware of elements of miscreants.
