The courts, district government offices and educational institutions will remain closed on Tuesday (today) in connection with the Urs celebrations of renowned saint Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajvery (RA).
According to a notification issued by the government, a local holiday has been declared across Lahore on Tuesday (today).
The holiday has been announced with reference to the annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. Courts, district government offices and educational institutions will remain closed today.
In the meanwhile holidays of police, traffic police, rescue and Edhi were cancelled due to Chehlum and Urs celebrations.
According to details, Lahore Police, Traffic Police, Edhi and Rescue holidays have been cancelled due to celebrations of Chehlum Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and Data Ganj Bakhsh Urs.
According to police sources, the officers who have weekly leave will be given alternative leave later. The CCPO issued instructions to the DIG Operations, Investigation and CTO.
Meanwhile, DG Rescue Rizwan Naseer has also cancelled the leave of rescue employees due to Chehlum and Urs celebrations in the city.
