Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren visits Chaudhary Shujaat

Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren visited former Prime Minister ChaudharyShujaat Hussain at his residence in Gulberg on Wednesday.

The Chinese consul general expressed good wishes for Chaudhry ShujaatHussain’s well-being and complete recovery. Chaudhary Shafay Hussain, the son of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, was also present there.

Mr. Zhao Shiren praised ChaudharyShujaat Hussain as a seasoned politician and a prominent figure in Pakistan’s politics. He thanked Chaudhary Shujaat for writing a letter to the Prime Minister regarding Chinese security with reference to the bulletproof vehicles. He also expressed gratitude to the governments of Pakistan and Punjab for providing full-proof security to Chinese nationals. The Chinese Consul General said that the current time is the best and the environment is conducive for investment in Punjab. More Chinese companies would be attracted to invest in Punjab. The discussions were also held during the meeting to enhance economic cooperation between Punjab and China.

Chaudhry Shujaat said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is strong, and efforts should be made to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. He mentioned that numerous Chinese companies had already invested in various sectors in Punjab. He welcomed further investment from Chinese companies in solar technology and other sectors. More than 15 Chinese solar companies had already held meetings regarding solar panel manufacturing in Punjab.

The minister said that a high-level delegation from Punjab would visit China next month. During the visit, the meetings would be held with Chinese investors, associations, solar experts and garment specialists.
