Punjab police continue its the fastest operations against anti-social elements across the province.

Dera Ghazi Khan police conducted intelligence-based operations and crackdowns last month and arrested 77 notorious proclaimed offenders.

65 cases of illicit arms were registered, 13 Kalashnikovs, 10 rifles, 47 pistols / revolvers, other 03 and 331 bullets and cartridges were recovered.

Millions worth of stolen goods, cash, motorcycles, cattle and other goods were recovered and handed over to the rightful owners.

On the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani, operations against anti-social elements are in full swing across the province and crackdown on proclaimed offenders , illegal arms holders and drug dealers has been intensified.

In this regard, DG Khan Police under the leadership of DPO Omar Saeed Malik took emergency measures for the arrest of anti-social elements during the last month, which significantly reduced the crime rate in the district and maintained law and order and overall situation of law and order has also improved.

Police teams worked hard and used modern technology to maintain law and order in Dera Ghazi Khan District.

DPO Dera Ghazi Khan Omar Saeed Malik has said that zero tolerance policy should be followed against anti-social elements.

Police registered (65) cases of illegal arms in 30 days including (10) rifles. (47) Pistols / revolvers (13) Kalashnikovs and (331) bullets were recovered.

During the ongoing campaign against anti-social elements, (23) drug cases were registered in which (7.930) kg of hashish, (1196) liters and (81) Bottle of liquor, (6.620) kg of Bhung was recovered.

During the last 30 days, (77) proclaimed offenders were arrested.

During this period (08) cases of Gambling Act have been registered and huge amount of gambled money has been recovered .

After tracing the gang involved in robbery and dacoity, the accused involved in several gangs were arrested and Rs. 954,500 was recovered from the accused.

DPO Dera Ghazi Khan Omar Saeed Malik further said that the performance of Dera Ghazi Khan police last month has been exemplary while surprise visits are being made to various offices and units including police stations to maintain and improve the same continuity of performance.

He said that open court is being set up on a daily basis for speedy delivery of justice and direct communication with the people.

He further said that making the police a friend and helper of the people is one of his top priorities for which measures are taken on priority basis and it will remain continued while there is a zero tolerance policy on corruption and abuse of power.
