The Building Control Section of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) along with the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday, with the assistance of the District Administration and Islamabad Police sealed several buildings being constructed along Expressway in violation of building regulations.
According to the details five buildings which were being constructed without the approval of CDA have been sealed and notices have been issued to the owners during an operation conducted along Expressway. Moreover, notices have also been served to 13 owners of buildings in F-17, sector comprising upon private societies, for non-conforming use.
On this occasion, CDA has reiterated that the anti-encroachment campaign will continue continuously to make Islamabad an encroachment-free city. It should be noted that for the past several months, CDA has been engaged conducting operations on encroachments and illegal constructions and violation of building bylaws in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Captain (R) Anwar ulHaq participated in Tree Plantation campaign carried out at Green belt of Sector D-12/2.The tree plantation campaign was carried out in collaboration of MarriPetroleum.Students of School being run by Saya Foundation planted plants on this occasion.
During this campaign, 2000 plants will be planted on the green belt of Sector D-12/2 including Pelikan, Arjun and Sukh Chain. It is pertinent to mention here that 8 to 10 feet tall grown plants are being planted to ensure their survival. Children of Saya School participated in this plantation campaign along with the management of Mari Petroleum. On this occasion, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Captain (R) Anwar-ul-Haq said that measures are being taken with the cooperation of private sector to improve the environment of the city.
