CDA demolishes encroachment

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Cap (Rtd) Noorul Amin Mengal on Wednesday said that illegal constructions, encroachments in different part of the federal capital would be removed so as to enhance development work there.

The chairman expressed these views during the CDA action against encroachments in Behka Saydan. He said that action against encroachment was initiated over the land which was acquired for development of different residential sectors. Chairman CDA claimed that the action against encroachment would be continue across the board and no leniency for land grabbers.

The Chairman further said that the operation against illegal construction, and land mafia begin from last month and till now billions rupees land had been retrieved. The operation will be continued till removal of all encroachment in the city, he maintained.

The operation in Bhka Saydan was continued on second day and demolished 58 rooms, 26 washrooms, two shops, 14 kitchens and 18 boundary walls, all these were constructed on CDA lands. Enforcement Directorate, Islamabad Administration and Islamabad Police took part in the operation.
