Business Graduates urged to focus on Entrepreneurship

President, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi (MAJU) Prof. Dr. Zubair Shaikh said that “our universities should look into this matter that why a large number of young business graduatesare not attracted to doing business despite having a business degree, while the country’s big business people are doing their business successfully despite not having a business degree. He said that we need to realize that rapid changes are taking place in the education sector along with other areas of business life.

, with the increasing use of technology, we have now entered the era of digital economy. Therefore, our teachers should pay attention to the promotion of research culture along with teaching and administrative matters, he added.
These views he expressed while he was addressing to MAJU’s first Jinnah Business and Economics Research Journal launching ceremony at University campus, yesterday. All Deans, Heads of Departments and a large number of faculty members were present on this occasion. Dr. Zubair Shaikh congratulated Editor, Jinnah Business and Economics Research Journal, Dr. Muhammad Mairaj and his team for the publication of a very useful research journal and advised him to publish this Journal quarterly in order to promote research work at MAJU. He said that it will prove to be a premier academic journal that aims to encourage and develop research culture around the glob. He said that research journals always serves various communities i.e. business, academic, research and society etc., and keeps them updated on contemporary issues and emerging theories. It may be added here that MAJU’s first research journal have published five research papers of leading research scholars of the country. The research papers have been written by Rizwan ul Hassan & Mubashar Hassan on “ Exploring the Relationship between the political stability and Economic Growth: The case of Pakistan”, Sania Shaheen, Umbreen Zahra and Mahnaz Aslam on “ Exchange Rate and Monetary Fundamentals: A Panel Data Analysis of Emerging and Developing Asian Countries”, Saima Rafiq and Naveed R. Khan on “ A pilot Investigation of the Determinants of Workplace Innovation Behavior in Service Sector of Pakistan”. Muhammad Abdullah Khan , Wahaj Kiyani, Kinza Agha and Agha Ahmed Nabi on “The Impact of Cash Flow on Share Price of firms: A Case Study on Oil & Gas Marketing Industry of Pakistan”, and Abdul Manan Shaikh, Jawaid A. Qureshi and Muhammad Asif Qureshi on “Discovering the Myths of Industrial Fire of Baldia-factory, Pakistan”.
