SZABIST Biosciences Department in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) conducted a Seminar, “Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar” on other day. The main objective of the event was to deliver a complete awareness about the early diagnosis of breast cancer (BC), which is still considered a taboo.
Topics covered in seminar were signs, symptoms, risks & prevalence of BC in males/females, self-examination, Myths, Mammography which was followed by queries of participants.
Ms. Afira Waqar on behalf of SZABIST Biosciences department invited the guest speakers, Dr. Rabab Zehra & Mr. Arsalan Kaim Khani from SKMCH&RC and Dr. Farhan Essa (CEO; Dr. Essa’s Laboratory & Diagnostic centre).
Event was highlighted by the talk of Dr. Farhan Essa, who really appreciated the efforts of organizing and emphasized the significance of such awareness seminars.
