Bismah Maroof, Ghulam Fatima injured in Karachi road accident

KARACHI – Women cricketers Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima were injured in a minor car accident on Friday evening in Karachi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Saturday

Despite sustaining minor injuries, both players received immediate first aid and are currently under the care of the PCB medical team.

Both players are part of the probables attending a training camp for the upcoming series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on 18 April.

Pakistan women probables camp for West Indies series started on March 2 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. A 20-member contingent of players are taking part in the camp.

The players will undergo the camp in Karachi till 8 April and disperse to their native cities the next day to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. On 13 April, the squad will assemble in Karachi to prepare for West Indies series which starts on 18 April. The bilateral series includes three ODIs – part of ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 and five T20Is.
