Andhra Pradesh’s 22-year-old fast bowler Prithvi Raj is excited to be the member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the ongoing IPL tournament.
He has already been a part of the team establishment. Born in Duggirala (Andhra Pradesh), the left arm pacer will replace another pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to the hip injury, which he sustained during their win over Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium last week.
“Yes, it is confirmed and it feels great to be a part of the orange army”, he said exclusively over the telephone.
“I am already in the UAE. Was travelling with the team as a net bowler”.
“It was a good chance for me to come with SRH as a net bowler. I got the opportunity to show my skills. It was totally unexpected to get a call into the team, but now that I am in”.
“I want to go out there and give my best. I am very excited to play under Davin Warner”, he signed off. It is not known when Bhuvi would return.
