Bata, Heels, Metro Shoes among 60 businesses sealed in Lahore

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against violation of building bylaws, illegal commercial use and commercialization fees defaulters in Lahore.
On Tuesday, LDA teams sealed 30 buildings on Raiwind Road for illegal commercial use and not paying commercialization fees.

The sealed premises include Bata, Heels, Ndure, Metro Shoes, a private bank, electric stores and shops of different brands.

LDA teams also partially demolished/sealed 30 properties for violation of building bylaws in Quaid-e-Azam Town.
LDA Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali supervised the operations which were carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of the Police and heavy machinery.

As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
