Bait-ul-Maal to be made helpful for needy: Basharat

Punjab Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Welfare Raja Basharat has said that Punjab will increase the resources of Bait-ul-Maal and make it truly helpful institution for the needy and deprived. He was presiding over the introductory meeting of the 15-member New Baitul Maal Council here on Tuesday. Chairman Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Malik Muhammad Azam and the concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Minister Law said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the programs launched for the poor from the platform of Punjab Bait-ul-Maal would supplement the “Ehsaas” Program of the federal government. He welcomed the new members of the council and hoped that with their expertise and experience they would play a vital role in making Baitul Maal a useful institution for the people.
