Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam is among the most expensive players named in the draft for this year’s The Hundred tournament.
Babar is among 44 Pakistani cricketers who have put up their names on the 284 players list for the eight different franchises draft that will be held on April 4.
There are 17 slots for overseas players in various franchises for this year’s Hundred which will commence on August 3.
The Pakistani captain has his reserved price at £125,000 and is on the list of most expensive players along with Chris Gayle, Mitchell Marsh, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Tabraiz Shamsi and David Warner. The trio of Mohammad Aamir, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf have their reserved price set at £75,000
. Shoaib Malik and Naseem Shah have a reserve price of £50,000 while Wahab Riaz, Imad Wasim and Shan Masood are registered with a base price of £40,000.
Around 35 Pakistani players, including Mohammad Hafeez, Shahnawaz Dahani, Kamran Akmal, Azam Khan, Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Nawaz are included in the players’ list without any reserved price.—APP
