Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended the physical remand of eight accused, including two police officers, involved in a short-term kidnapping case. The court granted a five-day extension in the physical remand of the suspects, allowing the police to continue their investigation. The suspects, including Constables Mohammad Omar and Ali Sajjad, were presented in court following their arrest for their involvement in the abduction of a person named Arslan.

The investigating officer stated that further arrests were anticipated, and additional recoveries are expected based on the suspects’ identifications. Two of the accused have already undergone an identification parade and were recognized by the complainant in the case. The police revealed that the abductors withdrew Rs 13 crore from the victim’s account.

The investigation is ongoing, with the authorities focusing on recovering more evidence and apprehending other potential suspects. The accused police officers, including Constable Ali Sajjad, were reportedly stationed at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) security posts. Other accused involved in the crime include Haris Siddiqui, Umar Jilani, Syed Muzmmil Raza, Tariq Hussain Shah, Syed Rizwan, and Nauman Raft.
