ISLAMABAD – People in Pakistan are facing slow internet on Wednesday, with disruption affecting different services.
Internet speed also remained slow as internet services provided by PTCL suffered disruption across the country.
PTCL is facing widespread data outages affecting connectivity in several cities. The issue which is due to fault in PTCL system, is affecting broadband services, particularly during peak hours.
Amid the disruption, PTA is monitoring situation. The internet issue widened as more than half of country’s users are of PTCL. Netblocks Internet monitoring platform reports that connectivity is at 24percent of normal levels, and Downdetector shows a significant increase in outage reports, with major complaints coming from Karachi, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan.

Wednesday’s disruption also impact both mobile and landline internet users. It also affected freelancers and to those who are working remotely.
Currently, efforts are underway to fix the glitch, and more updates will be followed later.
