The All Parties Hurriyat Conference while lauding Pakistani Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif’s address at UN General Assembly has said that Pakistan is true champion of the Kashmir cause and has once again forcefully raised the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination at the global forum.
The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, the powerful speech of Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif at UN is morale booster for the oppressed Kashmiris confronting Indian state terrorism.
“Kashmiris are indebted to Pakistan for representing them at international forums and expressing unequivocal support to the just struggle of right to self-determination,” the statement added.
APHC senior vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a special message from Srinagar central jail said that Pakistan is the only hope for Kashmiris and their hearts throb in unison with the people of Pakistan.
He thanked Pakistan, OIC and all other forums for raising the plight of Kashmiri people at the UN General Assembly. APHC leader said that the way Pakistani leadership pleaded the Kashmir case shows their commitment, sincerity and dedication to the Kashmir cause.
He said that PM Shehbaz Sharif not only reminded the world body of its pledges with the Kashmiris but also exposed the crimes committed by Indian occupation forces in the territory. He also apprised the international community about the Indian conspiracies to change the demography of the region. He termed the speech of PM as comprehensive and encouraging for Kashmiris and said that Pakistan is benefactor of Kashmiri people. APHC vice chairman also thanked Turkish president for raising the Kashmir issue in his speech at UN general assembly.
Other APHC leaders Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Khadim Hussain and Sibte Shabbir Qummi in their statements in Srinagar stressed the world to come forward for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute as emphasized by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his address at the UN General Assembly.—KMS
