Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi said that great services of Ulema for Islam can never be forgotten and in their presence anti-Islam elements cannot succeed in their objectives.
He was talking to Wifaq-ul-Madaris Secretary General Qari Hanif Jalandhari who called on him at his residence on Sunday and inquired about health of Ch Shujat Hussain.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest and it was agreed to formulate strategy against anti-Islam elements jointly. Rasikh Elahi was also present during the meeting.
Paying tributes to Ch Parvez Elahi, Qari Hanif Jalandhari said that by making it compulsory for confirmation of all religious books and material by Mutaheda Ulema Board, you have buried the evil forever.
He said that all Ulema are grateful to you for getting the Punjab Curriculum and Text Book Board Amendment Bill passed, your family’s great services for Islam can never be forgotten.
