Anti-encroachment drive successfully conducted

District administration Abbottabad successfully carried out operation against encroachments in Havelian Bazaar to solve traffic problems faced by citizens. The Anti-encroachment drive was supervised by Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Muhammad Hassan Ahsan, with the collaboration of Additional Assistant Commissioner Havelian Akasha Kiran, Additional Assistant Commissioner-2 Ali Sher and TMO Havelian Sajjad Haider.

Several temporary and permanent encroachments were removed and 07 persons were arrested for violating the law while some of cabins that were removed were placed on roads for decades and were resulting in traffic congestion.

It is pointed out that at-least 20 illegal cabins along the road and 40 handcarts were removed while encroachments were removed from an area of 3 km in Havelian City. The district administration of Abbottabad will shift all handcarts to Havelian “Sasta “Bazaar which will help in to solve problems of traffic and cleanliness.

The consumers will be opportunity to make purchases of food items on reduced and subsidized rates. One of the cabin owner requested not to be named has complained that district administration did not take action against the “Pakka” buildings.
