Alliance for Disaster Relief sends massive relief assistant for floods victims

Alliance for Disaster Relief along with Implementing partner Helping Hands for Relief & Development and 35 Collaborative organizations shipped for the Pakistan’s Floods victims the first of several Containers in a sending off Ceremony performed by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Consul General Abrar Hashmi, Director Mayor’s office Chris Olson, Yasir Bashir Assistant Chief of Police, Coordinator AFDR Muhammad Saeed Sheikh & Director Dr. Yaqoob Sheikh, Saad Ansari (HHRD) and several Community leaders.

Congresswoman Lee appreciated the Alliance efforts &louded that Houstonians continuing the services to Humanity as People still Reeling from the aftermath of Historic Climate Change Floods and Landslides.

After rais-ing donations of $1 million for the Floods victims of Pakistan, through the generousity of Chief Patron Syed Javaid Anwar & several community members and implemented several projects.

Houstonians now sending additional help by Containers of In-Kind Gifts of Winter and other Household Provisions.

This container has several Winter Relief Provisions like blankets, hoodies, winter caps, bedding items, hygiene kits, diapers, and much more. These items will be distributed in Pakistan by the implementing partner HHRD to those suffering from the aftermath of the catastrophic climate change incidents.

Alliance For Disaster Relief Implementing Partner Helping Hand for Relief and Development has so far intervened on behalf of the collaborative; having up till now touched the lives of more than 15,000 persons through the support of AFDR in providing medical assistance; and clean water, food, hygiene items, & temporary shelter provisions. These necessities distributions will continue, as well as within the next week or two, HHRD on behalf of AFDR will start the construction of Transitional Homes followed by Permanent Homes. Overall HHRD has assisted more than 250,000 persons as of October 10th, 2022.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee also presented a Special Congressional Recognition to the Alliance for Disaster Relief & Helping Hands for Relief & Development.
