All regional passport offices to remain open to facilitate Hajj pilgrims

ISLAMABAD – All regional Passport Offices will remain open on Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm to issue passports to Hajj pilgrims.

Ministry of Religious Affairs said, the Hajj pilgrims who have applied for a new passport or renewal should get their passports from their respective passport office today, complete the biometric process  and submit it to the respective banks.

Last week, Minister for Religious Affairs Aniq Ahmed during a meeting at the Saudi Embassy regarding Hajj arrangements expressed gratitude for the Saudi authorities for cooperation regarding provision of the best facilities.

The both sides discussed various matters to finalize the arrangements for Hajj 2024. Minister for Religious Affairs Aniq Ahmed said that due to the excellent cooperation of Saudi Minister for

Hajj Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah and the Saudi Ambassador, he had been successful in making intending Pilgrim’s facilities exemplary. Hajj arrangements would be completed on time.

In this regard, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Pakistan Hajj Mission were in constant contact with the Saudi authorities. He further said that according to Saudi directives, private Hajj scheme applicants were provided with further ease.

A total of 146 organizing companies were formed, and their contracts were awarded by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the booking process for Hajj pilgrims began. The Saudi Ambassador assured full cooperation to private Hajj companies.

He further stated that senior Saudi officials would visit Pakistan in the last week of February to finalize the ‘Road to Makkah’ project from Karachi airport. Private scheme pilgrims would also be included in the Road to Makkah project along with government pilgrims.”
