Says had not gone to Murree, 30 to 40 people would have died
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said that all four Sharifs have been subtracted from Pakistan politics.
Talking to media persons, Sheikh Rashid said that the opposition has lost and the government will complete its five-year constitutional tenure and will continue its agenda of serving the people.
He said past rulers plundered the national excheq-uer, while Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to strengthen the national economy and address inflation through wise decisions.
Sheikh Rashid further said that there is no chance of any kind of a deal, there might have been talks of showing some lenience in the past but not anymore.
He compared the opposition to the blind whales which are dreaming about in-house change and said that it is not going to happen.
Talking about protest marches announced by the Opposition, the Interior Minister said the govern-ment is not afraid of such marches.
Replying to Shehbaz Sharif’s comment, the minister said that PML-N President is a beautiful dream for the Prime Minister Imran Khan, not a nightmare.
About prevailing political situation in the country, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said public will witness posi-tive developments in next two to three months.
On the issue of economy, the Interior Minister said approval of Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021-22 is a great success of the government and its allies.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that more people would have died in Mur-ree had he not gone there to monitor the situation and rescue people.
“If I had not gone to Murree, 30 to 40 people would have died instead of 23. Nothing was in place in Murree. I don’t want to say anything else,” he said while speaking to the media in Rawalpindi.
He went there on humanitarian grounds and not as an interior minister.
