Alarming surge in malaria cases in different districts of Sindh

A sharp rise in malaria cases has been observed across eight districts in Sindh, particularly in areas like Qambar, Badin, Sujawal, Umerkot, Tando Mohammad Khan, Matyari, Thatta, and Mirpurkhas. The total number of cases has surged to 104,079.

These increase is being attributed to various factors including unsanitary conditions caused by blocked gutter drains in cities, accumulation of rainwater in low lying areas from last year’s flash floods, shifts in global environmental patterns.
