Veteran PPP leader and lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan has backed PECA ordinance 2022 as he maintained that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz led in terms of peddling “fake news”.

Aitzaz said that Maryam claimed to have evidence of his father’s innocence, but she did not produce them in court.

Endorsing the PECA ordinance 2022, the PPP stalwart said that the ordinance was somewhat correct and that most fake news belong to Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Aitzaz further added that the PML-N vice president also claimed to have an audiotape of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, as well as videos of the late judge Arshad Malik, but she never presented them before any court.

He called the audiotape of Saqib Nisar fake and also claimed that Nawaz Sharif went abroad by making fake medical reports.

While commenting on the recent patch-up between PML-N and his party, the PPP leader said that the alliance has been made for personal gains, and they are not sincere with the people of Pakistan.

Aitzaz also advised people not to trust the PDM alliance.
