Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of overseas Pakistanis’ complaints on Pakistan Citizen Portal and directed for initiation of proceedings against the responsible in the Islamabad Land Revenue.
Prime Minister’s Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU), upon prime minister’s directions, inquiry was initiated against Circle Registrar office Islamabad by the authorities concerned and the deputy registrar cooperative society Islamabad was immediately removed from his office, said a press release issued on Saturday.
The relevant clerk in the circle registrar office was also removed from his office whereas inspector cooperative societies had been dismissed from service.
The chief commissioner Islamabad had also sent recommendation to the ministry of interior for the suspension of circle registrar.
The societies concerned were issued show cause notices and their bank accounts has been frozen.
According to a press release of PM office media wing, an overseas Pakistani had registered complaint with the prime minister over transfer of plot and the inaction of circle registrar over the complaint.
Upon the direction of PMDU, the chief commissioner conducted inquiry into these complaints and issued suspension and removal from service notifications.
