Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that more than Rs 3 billion have been distributed among two lakh and 70 thousand deserving families in first two days of CM Punjab Insaf Imdad Programme.
In a statement, he said that 25 lakh deserving families will be given Rs12,000 each by the government and more than 600 camps have been set up to facilitate those affected due to coronavirus lockdown. He told that Insaf Imdad Programme is aimed at providing necessary financial support to the needy and it is reflective of the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Every segment of the society has been affected due to lockdown and government is duty-bound to fulfill their needs. The government is selflessly serving the people and no one can point a finger at the transparency of this program, he added.
Provincial Higher Education Minister Yasir Humayun called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and presented a cheque worth Rs45 lakh and 42 thousand on behalf of nine educational boards for CM Fund for Corona Control.
Usman Buzdar thanked the educational boards’ employees for their donation adding that the Pakistani nation has always come forward to help those in need. He stated that every penny will be spent for the welfare of the needy in a very transparent manner.
The people should also follow the governmental instructions in letter and spirit to stop the spread of coronavirus, the CM concluded.
The CM will lay the foundation stone of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Buzdar Institute of Cardiology in DG Khan today (May 14) which will be completed with an amount of Rs 4 billion.
The 100-bed hospital will be constructed in the first phase. He will also lay the foundation stone of modern intercity bus terminal project worth Rs33 core. Besides this, the CM will lay the foundation stone of expansion project of Dot Bridge interlinking traffic of four provinces.
A sum of Rs40 crore will be spent on it. He will lay the foundation stone of Gajjani spur to save lands from river erosion. Rs63.60 crore will be spent on it. He will also chair a meeting at the Commissioner’s Office to take stock of different things. Meanwhile, the CM will give the cheque of more than 26 crore rupees to MEPCO for providing electricity to electricity-less localities of Taunsa and Koh-e-Suleman.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed strong concern over contravention of precautionary measures in markets after easing lockdown and directed the administration and police to ensure implementation of SOPs.
In a statement, he directed that all precautionary measures should be implemented to save the people from coronavirus. The citizens should also avoid going outside without any need, he added.
He said that lockdown has been eased keeping in view the financial difficulties of the people and businesses have been intertwined with their SOPs. The citizens should adopt precautionary measures as action will be initiated in case of violation of SOPs, he further said.
