A comprehensive training workshop was organized for Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners by Karachi’s administration, with the support of a local NGO. The workshop saw full participation from all deputy and assistant commissioners, who collaboratively prepared a detailed list of urban issues and proposed solutions to address them. During the workshop, Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in resolving urban issues. He stressed that improving communication and coordination between different departments is vital for effectively tackling Karachi’s challenges.
Secretary of Training, Management, and Research Wing, Government of Sindh, Abdul Waheed Shaikh, also addressed the session, highlighting the government’s commitment to providing training opportunities for officers to enhance their performance and meet evolving challenges. The workshop focused on key areas, including price control, polio eradication efforts, and other urgent urban issues. A strategic approach to disseminating price lists and enhancing polio vaccination campaigns was discussed, with actionable plans to improve public awareness and ensure the success of these initiatives. Participants agreed on the need for stronger collaboration to make Karachi a more efficient and prosperous city.
