ISLAMABAD – The federal government is all set to revise the petroleum prices for second half of October 2024 tonight amid reports claiming a hike in rates.

Reports suggest that a surge in global oil prices and an increase in OMCs profit could lead to an increase in petroleum prices in Pakistan from October 16.

However, a decline was observed in international oil prices on Tuesday, reviving hopes that the government would provide further relief to masses.

Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan

Previously, the government had decreased the petrol and diesel prices from October 1 till Oct 15. Currently, the petrol price in Pakistan stands at Rs247.30 per litre.

The High-Speed Diesel (HSD) prices had been decreased by Rs3.40 per litre, setting it at Rs246.29 for first half of October 2024.

Expected Petrol Prices in Pakistan Tomorrow

As per the reports, petrol prices could jump by Rs4-5 per litre, while high-speed diesel is expected to move up to Rs10-12 per litre.

So, the expected petrol price would be between Rs250-252 per litre while diesel price would hover between Rs256-258.
