Pakistan Army rescues 6 foreign climbers from world’s second highest peak K2

GILGIT – Pakistan Army has successfully rescued six foreign mountaineers who were attempting to summit K2, the second highest peak in the world.

The foreign climbers hail from the US, Chile, Macedonia, and Nepal. They experienced high-altitude sickness at their base camp during the expedition.

The climbers contacted the Pakistan Army for assistance, following which they were successfully rescued. The mountaineers thanked Pakistan Army for their timely rescue.

Earlier this month, Pakistan Army commandos also successfully rescued foreign climbers from Holland, Singapore, and Ecuador, who fell ill due to severe weather conditions while attempting to summit K2.

The climbers experienced health issues during their expedition, prompting an urgent rescue operation.

The mountaineers expressed deep gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their timely intervention, which provided crucial medical aid and ensured their safe evacuation from the treacherous environment.

The climbers praised the swift response of the Pakistan Army personnel, emphasizing that their lives were saved thanks to the efficient rescue operation.
